Diamonds Are Forever, a promising filly, has joined Aidan O’Brien. The winner of Dundalk is moving to Ballydoyle from Willie Browne.

After leaving Willie Browne’s yard, debut winner Diamondsareforever will now be trained by Aidan O’Brien.

The filly is by Diamondsandrubies, a 2015 Curragh winner of the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes and the Cheshire Oaks.

After beginning her career with Richard Fahey, she produced a War Front filly known as Diamond Sparkles as a broodmare. This filly was Group-placed in the United States.

Diamondsareforever was born from a pairing with Justify. She made her racecourse debut on December 21 at Dundalk and won a one-mile contest by a length and three-quarters for Browne and Seamie Heffernan.

As John Magnier, the owner of the Ballydoyle yard where the trainer is based, is a shareholder in the horse, Aidan O’Brien will now continue the filly’s career.

“John Magnier and the breeder (Premier Bloodstock) were half-shareholders and she has gone to Aidan O’Brien,” Browne explained.

“It is a little bit disappointing, but we know where we are in life. We had our day in the sun!”
